Class 4
Museums! 14.4.2020
admin on: Class 4
Hi All,
We hope that you have all managed to have an amazing Easter and had lots of fun together. We certainly have been enjoying the sunshine and the garden. We have been on bike rides for our exercise each day, baked, played Lego, watched films and generally had fun as a family.
We wondered if you fancied a museum visit? I know that you will not really be able to go to one, but how about a virtual tour? If you follow the link below it will take you to the Egyptian gallery at the British Museum.
See what you can find. I spotted some Shabti, Sarcophagus, furniture and toys. See what you can find. It is amazing. There are lots of other virtual tours that uou can go on if you have a little search. Maybe visit the National National Gallery and take in some wonderful art work.
Enjoy your visits and let us know how you got on and what you saw!.
Take care and enjoy
Love Year 4 Team

Well it was a windy day yesterday. We nearly got blown away on our walk with the dogs. I hope that you have all had a good week. We will post some of your photos again. Well it has been a strange two weeks not in school. I know that you are all busy bees, getting up to lots of different things and dipping in and out of our activities. We are really enjoying setting you fun things to complete, but please remember that these are only suggestions. One thing we have all loved, is getting the emails from you letting us know how you are all doing.
On to today -
As it is Easter coming up I thought we could run with this theme a little so here we go:
Art - Zentangles. What a great word!
These are examples of zentangles. They are a little like mindfulness colouring only you make your own patterns up. Draw an egg shape and then see if you could create lots of wonderful "tangles" inside. You can use one colour, monochrome or colour in it all in.
Maths - This follows on from yesterdays area and perimeter work. Draw yourself a selection of rectangles of different sizes. You could also draw some squares and triangles. Measure them carefully and work out the perimeter and area of the shapes.
Science - With some help, can you find something in your house (kitchen might be the best place) that changes its state of matter when a force is applied to it? Draw or photograph the process. This could be an ice cube, an egg or even some chocolate (even an Easter egg!). Have fun and keep safe.
As I said at the beginning of this blog - what a couple of weeks it has been and you are all being amazing and so are your grown ups! Keep in touch, send an email or a photo. We love them. Enjoy your Easter, maybe the Easter Bunny will come, I am hoping he will!
Take care, keep safe and keep smiling.
