Class 4
Homework due 23.5.19
admin on: Class 4
The homework this week is:
IXL Maths CC14, CC15, CC16 on adding and subtracting decimals.
IXL Maths AA6 on equivalent fractions. This week we have discussed the rule "whatever you do to the numerator (top number), you do to the denominator".
Spellings: ordinary, particular, peculiar, perhaps, popular, position, possess, possible.
Also, there are still a couple of children who I haven't received the meal requirements from for Cliffe House. The other two letters aren't as urgent, but the meal requirement letter I do need back ASAP as the Cliffe House catering team need these before half term. If these could be returned early next week, that would be great!
Have a fantastic weekend!
Mr. K

Murton Park
admin on: Class 4
On Monday, Class 4 went on a trip to Murton Park to become Romans for the day. The children we given a tunic and a contract to sign that meant they now were employed by the Roman Army. Throughout the day, they took part in various activities such as making an oil lamp, writing in Latin, marching in formation and using (fake!) swords, javelins and spears. They even managed to frighten off a Celt! The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I feel it will be a trip that sticks with them forever. Their behavior was impeccable throughout and the staff at the venue complimented them on their conduct. I was a very proud teacher! Also, a big thank you to Miss Todd, Mrs Greenwell and Jenny MacDuff for their help.
Quick Reminder!

If you didn't get the message earlier about our trip on Monday, I have copied it out below:
Please could you ensure that your child arrives at school on Monday before 8:15 with a packed lunch and in uniform. No nuts in the packed lunches or glass bottles please. A reminder that we are expected back at school at 4pm, however we will keep you posted if this changes. Thank you, Mr. Kershaw.
