IXL maths D.1 and D.2 on subtraction.
Spellings for this week are:
Autobiography
Automatic
Autocue
Autopilot
Autograph

Believe
Also, I have sent a letter home today with details of the Egyptian day which is on Wednesday 17th October.
Have a fantastic weekend!

This week in Class 4.

Happy Friday!
We have had a fantastic week in Class 4. We have written instructions on how to brush our teeth in science, learnt about the mummification process in history and had the chance to properly try out our brass instruments in music! Hopefully the children will be able to share what they have learnt in brass this week (sorry!!).
A note on photographs - I currently don't have a class ipod, so I am unable to take many photographs at the moment to share on the blog. Once I have sorted this out, I will upload some photographs of the antics we get up to in Year 4.
The homework this week is as follows:
1.) IXL Maths C.1 and C.2 on addition.
2.) IXL English D.1 and D.2 on verbs.
The spellings for this week are:
Adventure
Capture
Capturing
Mixture
Picture
Pictured
Puncture
Puncturing
I have uploaded these onto Spelling Shed which the children can log into through the login details in their planner. On Spelling Shed they can practice their spellings through a series of games. This IS NOT compulsory but may be an added incentive for the children to practise their spellings.
Have a great weekend!
Mr. Kershaw
Welcome to Year 4
admin on: Class 4
Hello to everyone who has started in Class 4 this September! I apologise that it has taken me until week 3 (!!) to get a blog post sorted, I won't leave it this long again, I promise.
I am really enjoying my new class, they are full of enthusiasm, kindness and they have a great sense of humour! I can't wait to see what they can achieve this year.
A quick note about me - I am very forgetful! My last class were well aware of this and didn't hesitate to remind me when I forgot to hand out letters. Please encourage your child to be just as forthcoming about reminding me of important information as I clearly need it. Which brings me to my next point - many apologies for not sending out the class photograph form today. Yes, I forgot! They will go out tomorrow!
If you ever need to speak to me, please know my door is always open. Or if I am not immediately available, I will always arrange a time to speak to you. I am often in until after 5, so if you pick your child up from wrap around club and need to speak to me, you can always pop in if I am still in school.
I am looking forward to meeting you all very soon at parents' evening.
Mr. Kershaw

I will certainly miss all your wonderful support this year!
