Dance in Class 4

admin on: Class 4

In PE this half term, we are completing a dance module. We are using different music each week to inspire a dance, using the five main features of dance: Travel, balance, stillness, jump and turn.

This week the children worked in groups to create a dance to sci-fi music! The results were fantastic to watch; I was very proud! Here are some photographs of some of their dances.

Homework due 25.1.19

admin on: Class 4

The children have produced some really fabulous writing this week in both science and English. We have learnt about Thomas Edison in science, and the children have become quite the experts! I have been impressed with their knowledge of his life and they have used this to write a biography.

The homework this week is as follows:

IXL maths - C.15 and D.9 on addition/subtraction word problems.

IXL English - K.8 which is a review on prefixes and suffixes.

The spellings this week look at the prefix 'il':

Legal, illegal, logical, illogical, legible, illegible, literate, illiterate

Have a fantastic weekend!

Exciting news from Mrs Matthews!

admin on: Class 4

Dear Parents,

The children were absolutely delighted on Friday when I showed them a special thank you card and photograph from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex! Last year, in year 3, the children wrote wonderful letters to congratulate Prince Harry and Meghan on their marriage. I was so impressed with their hard work and enthusiasm that I posted all 30 letters and sent them, with a covering letter, to Kensington Palace. On Friday the children received a very special thank you from them. The children now have a copy in their classroom with Mr Kershaw.
