6.3.2020 - Canopic jars

admin on: Class 4

We have finally been able to paint our Canopic Jars.  We used our new watercolour paints because they will help us to create better details on our pots.  We learnt all about how to look after the paints and new paint brushes.

Well done. They are looking amazing so far, but are not finished just yet.  Miss Watkins is going to carry out emergency surgery on our pots.  We have heads, ears, eyes and noses falling off!

We were being particles this week.  We looked at how the particles move and fit together in groups.  We looked at solids, liquids and gases.  Well done!

World Book Day - Thursday

admin on: Class 4

We're all getting very excited for this Thursday's World Book Day!

The theme is 'Share a Million Stories', so we'll be swapping books with friends (please bring in a pre-loved book that you are OK to swap with a friend), using the wonderful picture book 'Flood' to inspire writing across and the school and then sharing bedtime stories at the end of the day. If you wish to join your child's class, then you are welcome into school from 2:45pm. Children are OK to bring in teddies and dressing gowns to get the full bedtime story effect!

Welcome back everyone.  We have had fun making our Canopic Jars (finally).  The children have bee amazing potters this afternoon.

We have sent home a few letters today, including one about Bradley Woods that will require you to  fill in a few details and send back please.

Also keep working on your times tables.  We have been having a go at them using Purple Mash.  Maybe have a go at home too.

Thanks again.

Well, it has been another exciting week in Year 4.  We have been writing books about our own Ancient Egyptian Gods.  They are amazing Year 4!

We have also been learning about Ancient Egyptian Pyramids and have even visited an ancient tomb using a VR headset!  Wow!

Well done Year 4
