Class 6 Design Challenge
Posted: Jun 13, 2025 by: Louise Bamfield (LBamfield) on: Class 6
We have had a brilliant week in Class 6, working in teams to complete the Design Challenge.
Each team was tasked with designing their own product, creating a prototype, testing and refining their ideas, producing a business plan with costings and projected profit, and then preparing and presenting a 'pitch' in the Dragons' Den!
We were really impressed by the teamwork that the children showed, as well as the creative flair that went into the designs of a flying pig money-box, a pirate-themed board game, a stunning multi-layered stationery set, a cow-themed water bottle, a pigeon-themed stationery set, a Lucozade-inspired water bottle, a set of watermelon and contrasting coloured cushions, and a very hungry caterpillar-inspired money box.
Really well done to all the teams, and especially the winning team with their brilliant board game and also to our runners-up, with an incredible pigeon-themed stationery holder.
We were also proud of all the children who stood in the elections for House Captain and it was wonderful to see the speeches you had prepared.
Finally, we have started filming our end-of-year video, which is already looking really exciting.
Next week, we have Bikeability for two days, as well as activities to prepare for moving to high school, with Sports' Day scheduled for the end of the week - fingers crossed that the weather is good!
