Hello everyone!

What a great finish to the week we had on Friday! As the children had been so interested in our discussions surrounding the 75th anniversary of D-day, we were delighted to welcome Mr Hindle into the classroom to tell us more! He showed the children lots of exciting photographs, not only of D-day but also those taken on his recent trip to the beaches of Normandy. The children were enthralled by everything he told them and really enjoyed handling all his amazing WW2 artefacts. Thank you so much Mr Hindle for taking time to come in and talk to the children and allow them to handle all your fabulous WW2 equipment. Photos to follow!

Please find below the homework for this next week;

Home work for week beginning 20th May

admin on: Class 3

Hello everyone!

I can't believe we are already now in the final week of this half term; it seems only yesterday it was September!

This week we have 2 events to inform you of; it is 'Around the World' challenge this week. We are aiming to raise money for the 'Forget Me Not' charity and our local Children's Hospice. The children will each be running 1 mile on Thursday around our school grounds and thus are joining many other children with the ultimate aim of collectively running the distance 'around the world'. Our class will be completing the challenge on Thursday. If you would like to send a voluntary donation towards the hospice please do on Thursday morning. Thank you so much.

We will also be spending time in the woodland area on Thursday so please send your child in appropriate footwear. We will provide special seats for the children to sit on but sturdy footwear is beneficial.

Homework this week is as follows;

Maths IXL: FF.4 (division facts)

English IXL: N.24 (select the tense)

Spellings;

chef

chalet

machine

antique

unique

physique

league

tongue

Thanks so much
