We've made it to the end of the first half term - a full 8 weeks! Well done everyone, I hope you all enjoy the rest. We've worked so hard this half term - thank you for all your support and it was lovely talking about all your wonderful children at parent's evenings this week.
We've finally got all our brilliant Shackleton writing on the wall...
I haven't set any assignments for Mathletics, but children are welcome to keep going on and practising the skills and games. I have put a sheet of common exception words in homework books - please work through these steadily with your child. You can download a copy here too: common exception words

Homework 18/10/19

What a wonderful week we've had, finishing with The Big Draw today. The children have been so enthusiastic about Amy Johnson - so hopefully they will enjoy the homework I've set in homework books this week.
On Wednesday we had a bonus PE session with Georgina from the tennis club, she was talent spotting and we all had a great time. She chose Freya as someone with great potential - so well done Freya!
Mathletics homework is about place value and adding/subtracting, please help your child to complete this.

We've had another fabulous week, despite the rain! This afternoon we've been getting 'stuck in' to some papermache:
Home for this week is on adding and subtracting for Mathletics and in homework books you'll find some words that we have been working on in class. Please help your child to create sentences using these words, concentrating on capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.
Also - we are short of cereal boxes, we need another 7 by next Friday if possible. Thank you!!
