Making puppets
admin on: Class 2
22nd January 2019
Today, we started to make our animal puppets in DT. Children could choose either a lion, tiger, elephant, hippo, giraffe or panda. We used blanket stitching to sew two felt templates together. After, we are then going to stick detailed features onto the different animals, which will bring them to life! Stay tuned to see the finished product ...
Science

17th January 2019
We became fantastic Scientists on Thursday. The children have been investigating materials and needed to find out which type of paper was the most absorbent. They used pipettes to test the paper with small amounts of water. We were amazed to find out that some of the paper didn't absorb the water at all and some soaked in straight away.
Well done Year 2 Scientists.

Great Explorers
admin on: Class 2
11th January 2019
In history, we are looking at great explorers and significant people from across the years. If children would like to research any of their own significant people or great explorers, for example Amelia Earhart or Marco Polo, please encourage them to bring it in to show us! We are looking forward to learning about exciting explorers and significant people!
First day back

What an exciting first day back! The children have come back very well rested and have been extremely busy today. In maths, we asked children for their favourite fruit and collected the data in a a tally chart. They used this information to create a pictogram.
