Happy Holidays.!
What a busy last week.
Making bird seed, painting with Mr Walshaw, looking at bridge structures, going out on an 'early signs of Spring' walk.
In your child's bag will be a copy of the phonics quiz and next steps for your child as discussed at parents evening.
Any problems we can discuss after the holidays.

What another busy term. Your child is working very well and we are covering many new themes and topics.
After the holiday we are looking at fantasy stories about space and historical stories about Knights and castles.
Thank-you for attending parents evening this week. We really enjoyed meeting and talking with everyone again.
Anything that you want to ask us we are always available at some point in the day or email school if you have a query.
HOME WORK in the holidays.
Keep working on the Scofield and Simms maths books but don't go beyond section 1 as we have not covered some of those concepts in class.
IXL I will highlight areas we are covering in class be feel free to work on any aspect your child need to work on. Coins, shape, counting 1-1 or teen numbers.
Adding and subtraction is in the Y1 section.

We work with an Artists today Mr Walsaw to work on painting inspired to him by Joan Miro. The children produced some great work.
Also we had some delicious bacon butties. We now know bacon comes from pigs.
Thank-you Thomas's Mum.
We are looking at different materials.
Man -made or natural.
Please try and talk to your children about objects round the home and what they are made from.

So sorry for getting the wording wrong on the maths homework books.
I was meant to write session 1 not section 1 on the Schofield and Simms books.
Sorry Children your parents have been working many of you very hard.
Have a few weeks off with the IXL and wait for the others to catch up.
Next week in number we are looking at adding.
You will need to go onto Y1 IXL to find these to practise.

We helped Year 6 buddies to play the games they invented.
We mixed white and red paint to make pink using our fingers and painted with them.
