Healthy Eating Assembly

admin on: Reception

20th November 2018

Today Fay Lunn (Holmfirth High School P.E. teacher and Sports Partnership Schools Coordinator) come in and gave children an assembly on 'Healthy Eating'. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning more about keeping themselves fit and healthy by, not only exercising every day, but also by limiting the amount of sugary foods in their diet. Many of the children were amazed by the amount of sugar in many of the foods/drinks they enjoy and learnt all about the effects on their bodies. To find out more about what the children have learn please visit: https://change4life.service.nhs.uk/change4life

Autumn 2 week 2

admin on: Reception

Some of us have been working on rhyming strings.

Have a go at home.

A game looking at ordering numbers.

Autumn art work in the woods.

Next week in maths we are looking at patterns. Try and find some at home. Spots, stripes and checks.

Keep reading as often as possible with your child it really helps.

I am sending  the set of letter sheets home to complete in your own time.

Another good week.

Autumn 2 week 1

admin on: Reception

Welcome back!

The children have settled into the new morning routines well. Please could you help your child, if you have not done so, with writing their name with a  capital letter and correct letter formation as discussed at parents evening.

Thank-you for all your support at home this holiday the children are proud to show us what they have done.

Some children are counting everything. Brilliant!

Next week we are weighing and looking at capacity (half full , full and empty) This is a great to play and explore in the bath.

Enjoy you new reading books and sheets, please write a comment of how they got on in their reading diary and return next Wednesday so they can be changed.
