What an eggciting week we have had with lots of eggy creative crafts and writing going on.

This term we have started learning to lots of Nursery Rhymes which all helps develop rhythm in their writing and construction of sentences. They should have come home with their 8 rhyme challenge certificate this week.

Well done!

On Tuesday we watched now a liquid egg when cooked becomes a solid egg and we enjoyed eating the eggy bread. Yummy!

Here are just a few of our Humpty Dumpty spontaneous activities.

Welcome to the New Year and the Spring Term.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year and we all thank you for your gifts.

This half term we are retelling many of the 'Traditional Tales' and learning the old 'Nursery Rhymes'.

This is important for the children's learning  to explore the traditional tales keeping alive their heritage and culture and investigating why many of the tales are about farm animals where the 'baddy' in the stories are foxes or wolves.

This week has been Winter Wonder Land. Here are a few highlights:

Here is our poems wall where we will be learning these six poems this term.

This week of course was 'The Snowman'

Let's now celebrate how well your children have returned to school this week and those online.

Have a lovely special Christmas break.

Your children have worked so hard in their first term at school.

They have been learning in so many different ways and their maturity and confidence was show in their Christmas production last week.

They deserve a good rest, as we all do.

Sewing a running stitch making a candle book mark.

Decorating the treasure box for their scented pot.

Being creative

Finishing off Christmas cards.

Thank you for your support,

WOW!

We are still feeling so proud of all the children for their performance on Monday.

It was lovely to see so many of you watching them and I know they made you all very proud.

They showed maturity, resilience and confidence performing to a full audience.

We have tried to keep the rest of this week as 'normal' as possible showing the children on our calendar that Christmas is a few weeks away yet.

We have been moving and dancing every day to the www.activeadvent.fun     from imoves  advent calendar which you can do at home for free. It is a 3 minute work out every day for the children which they all have been enjoying.

There favourite is the 2nd December so far which you can go back to.

Below are a few of our activities this week.

I have added a class photo of the children dressed up in their Nativity out onto MICROSOFT TEAM as it is a secure site.

Thank you for your continued support,

What a busy week we have had continuing our daily phonics and maths as well as experiencing the first signs of winter.

Please look on Teams for the link for imoves advent calendar.

Its a three minute work out per day. The kids love it.

We have been looking and sorting different materials and talking about recycling which we will cover again later in the year.

Recycle, Reduce, Reuse,

I have attached an active advent calendar to Teams. The children have really enjoyed the first three days and would like to continue this over the weekend. You may need to sign up but its all FREE.

Snowy day what fun we had exploring the properties of the snow and watching it melt. Solid to a liquid!

Drawing plans our our houses!

Sorting different materials!

More house designs in the role play area.

Thank you for your support,

Mrs Oddy and the Team
