The sun has finally made an appearance and it has been hot, hot, hot in school this week!
This week we have continued to work on The Highwayman in English. We started to look at the story from a different point of view, using drama as a starting point for our writing.
In Science, we have been finding out about Joseph Lister and his medical breakthroughs. We demonstrated how easily germs pass from person to person using glitter on our hands (apologies to our parents if you are still finding glitter!).
In History, we have completed our group timelines of Queen Elizabeth's reign. We have also started a huge, class timeline displaying all of the British monarchs since 1066.
We have had some interesting items brought in for show and tell and the return of 'What's in the box?'
I'm very jealous of the above fossil discovery; I have been looking on beaches for years and still haven't come across anything quite as amazing!
