Week ending Friday 20th May 2022

Posted: May 20, 2022 by: Sarah Kendal (SKendal) on: Class 5

We have reached the end of yet another busy week! Have a look at what we have been getting up to...

The power of persuasion has been an important part of our English lessons this week. Working in groups, we have written and presented a piece of persuasive writing to encourage people to use renewable energy.

In Maths, we have been solving money problems. Each group had an imaginary £1000 to plan the ultimate party experience. The children had to think carefully about budgeting for food, drinks and entertainment.

Our Science lesson was fizzing fun today when we mixed bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to see what would happen! We also thought about other reversible and irreversible changes through scientific processes.

Finally, I would like to say how extremely proud I am of all the children who represented our school at the cricket tournament. The sportsmanship was fantastic; lots of handshaking and support for other players. Well done and thank you for taking part.
