Week ending 24th June, 2022

Well done this week.  We have had a very hot week in school, and I feel a little rotten that we have had the blinds closed to keep out the sun!

We have been busy again in PE.  We have been running around the field with maps, finding our stations in orienteering.  We have also been working on our athletics skills too with Miss Monday.

I class we have begun a new history topic about the Victorian workhouse that used to be in Netherthong.  The children were fascinated to find it on a map and to learn about what it would have been like there. and why you might have ended up in the workhouse.

Our History work ties in nicely with our new book all about Jane Pinny.  She is a maid in an old house and we are looking forward to finding out what happens to her.

In Maths we have been learning about statistics and we have created our own graphs after gathering data on a frequency table.  The children did a great job.  We have also been continuing our work on times tables especially our 8's.

Have a great weekend, be safe, have fun and be careful.

Miss W
