Howdy do to all of you!

Thank you to all of the people who have already got in touch with me! I really appreciate it. If you haven’t had the chance yet, don’t worry. All of us at school just want to make sure that you are all happy, safe and well. Remember we are here for you and will endeavour to do what we can to support you further. This weekend someone on my street organised this …

Everyone pitched together to colour in some letters. One of our lovely neighbours then took the time to stick the letters into the bins and put them in the correct order. She spoke with the refuse collectors, keeping 2 metres apart of course, and Dave, Martin and Lenny (the collectors) were thrilled with the message that read: Thank you to our key workers.

Here is the suggested timetable for today:

E.R.I.C. - Everybody Reading in Class for 20 mins (remember to record your reading in your planners)

Active time - Joe Wicks guided PE lesson at 9am

Don’t forget GoNoodle:

https://www.gonoodle.com/

Maths/Literacy - do this in batches of 20 mins each, build in breaks.

Break – You could have a snack outside and listen to all of the sounds you can hear.

Activity

Literacy;

Time for some more creative writing!

Your task over the next couple of days is to write a letter to a friend to tell them about what you have been up to. You could include a review of the book you have just read. Think about what they would like to know about what you have been up to, maybe you could ask them some rhetorical questions so they can write a reply to you?

Today, I would like you to plan your letter. Really think about what you want to say to your friend.

Computing;

This half term we are going to be looking at simulations. Today, you are going to be finding out what a simulation is. I would like you to research what a simulation is and fill out the 2Do on PurpleMash. There are reminders about what needs to be included in each section. Here is what it looks like …

PSHE;

Why don’t you try and do something like we did for our refuse collectors? Here is a template for you to make something for a key worker you know, whether that be a member of the NHS or supermarket worker. It will make them smile and realise how much we appreciate what they are doing for us! Here are the letters that we coloured in …

Music;

How did your concert go last week? My mum and Grandma loved it, or so they told me! I even did it in the garden in the sunshine! Do the same activity this week but pair up with someone in your house? Can you find something to use as an instrument to accompany you? A tin, a bottle, some rice? This week I am going to be singing You Can’t Stop the Beat from Hairspray as I love watching and listening to music from this musical!

Here is the Lego challenge for today! Remember to email us your creations! If you don't have Lego, don't worry any construction material will do …

Remember to keep in touch, either by emailing me at class3@netherthongprimary.co.uk or by commenting on the blog. I'll be in touch if I don't hear anything from you to see how you are.

Have a lovely day!

Miss H
