Good morning and happy Wednesday!

I took inspiration from Ella and her Mum yesterday. They sent me a wonderful photo of them playing in the river. So when we went out for our daily walk we visited our local stream and paddled for ages - there wasn't anybody else around, it was so quiet and peaceful and the bluebells looked beautiful under the trees. I am certainly enjoying the most simple things in life at the moment.

Here are your suggested activities for the day:

English:

So many of you completed the Litz Blitz on Purple Mash yesterday which is wonderful. You'll find another one in your 2do list today.

I see that some of you have already made a start on your favourite animal project. Please continue with this and remember that this is your project so make it unique to you! I look forward to seeing the finished pieces.

Maths:

Again, well done to all those that have completed their daily 8 questions on Purple Mash. Look in your 2do list for today's questions.

Here is a problem to solve:

If you haven't got any number cards, you can make some. Set the cards out on the floor so that you can move them around until you solve the puzzle.

Consecutive numbers are numbers that follow each other in order (6 and 7 are consecutive numbers)

Art:

If you can, have a look around your outside space. How many different types of trees can you see? Do you know the names of these trees? How can you tell them apart?

What is the most interesting leaf you can find? Can you sketch it using pencil and shading? Look closely at all of the detail on the leaf and include it in your sketch.

Have a wonderful day!

Love from Mrs Kendal and the year 4 team.
