Recycling and money

Posted: Dec 2, 2019 by: Mrs Parker (NHemingway) on: Reception

2nd December 2019

Today, children have started to learn about recycling and how we can help to save the environment. We made trees out of used wrapping paper and painted our very own recycling centres. They started to learn a song about how we can help, why don't you ask them to sing it to you? Also in maths, we have begun to recognise and name all the different coins we use to buy things. If you can practise this at home it would be very beneficial.

We set xander a money challenge this week and he was able to name all of the coins at home and tell us their colours! He's also loved the recycling topic and enjoyed helping us sort out our recycling at home. He loves the weekly change in topic and can't wait to tell us at tea time on Mondays what he'll be learning about that week. It really does spark a real interest at home, thank you
