Year 6 - Final Week.

The final week is almost upon us, so here's a rundown of what will be happening:
Monday - Leavers' Trip - normal arrival and pick up time. Children to wear sensible clothes for running around a wood - consider nettles etc. No lunch needed, as we'll be at Nando's (a new experience for some of us).
Tuesday - Lots of prep for Leavers' Assembly.
Wednesday - Last day with Mrs Kendal.
Thursday - Leavers' Assembly for the school in the morning, then for parents/grandparents/carers at 2pm (ish).
Friday - Shirt signing - bring Sharpies etc. Water fight - bring any water guns that you have AND a change of clothes/towel. Nerf War! Bring Nerf guns and as many bullets as possible.
Incredible, eh? Hasn't it flown? We are all starting to get a little sad (well, I am).

Incredibly, baking went on in my class this afternoon, thanks to all my talented children and their AMAZING parents/grandparents and even neighbours!
We made cakes for the Summer Fair tomorrow...
Please come along to the year 6 stall and buy some of our scrumptious creations!
Art with Mr Dean

Yesterday, Mr Dean came from Holmfirth High - along with 7 year 10 students - to teach a full day of printing.
The printing was based around cats and evolved as the day progressed.
It was a superb day, all enjoyed - thanks Mr Dean!
Y6 Art

We will be welcoming Mr Dean this Thursday (27th June), along with some of his year 10 artists.
Together they will be teaching us art/printing.
There is EVERY possibility that the children will get ink on their clothes, so please send them in either a) old clothes that you won't be worried about getting ink on, or b) an old shirt to wear over their clothes.

Baking

Our project for next week - w/c 1/7 - will be an enterprise cake baking project.
We will be planning at the beginning of the week and baking on Thursday 4th July, during the afternoon.
I'd like to invite as many of you in as possible to help us with this.
The cakes will be sold on our Year 6 stall at the Summer Fair and the group who make the most money will win the project for that week.
