7th January Update

admin on: Class 6

Happy New Year! The class have come back with a fabulous attitude and done lots of work this week. I've been really impressed with their work ethic.

As they are getting older, I am trying to give them more open-ended and independent tasks to further their learning. In geography today, the lesson was to learn about the human features of geography in Jamaica. I gave them 6 tasks to complete on their own, and this is what they created:

I am so proud of their work today! They really are a joy to teach!

Have a lovely weekend!

Merry Christmas!

admin on: Class 6

Just wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas. It has been genuinely amazing to be able to teach this class for another year and celebrate a second Christmas with them. They are quirky, funny and intelligent children who make our day so much better! Ms. Kewley and I smile every day after teaching this class and we couldn't be more proud of them for the way they've grown up over the last year. We hope you enjoyed the Christmas performance and thank you again for sitting out in the cold to watch it! Also, thank you for the gifts we have both received - we really don't expect them, but always appreciate them! We can't wait to spend the next 7 months preparing the children for high school and having some more amazing days with this class.

Merry Christmas and stay safe!
Mr. K and Ms. Kewley.

DT - 14.12.21

admin on: Class 6

The children have spent lots of time on Friday, Monday and Tuesday designing, making and painting their bridges. I gave them a brief of designing a bridge to replace one that might've been damaged in World War 2. They came up with some great ideas and used saws and glue guns to help create their bridge.

Have a look at these pictures:

Here are the finished products!

26.11.21 Update

admin on: Class 6

This week, we have learnt about the lungs' role in the circulatory system. In history, we have looked at how the world entered the 'atomic age' after the nuclear bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We've looked at the Cold War and how nuclear superpowers have changed the way wars have been fought in the last 80 years.

Here are some photos of the children using the wall bars in PE to practise their counterbalance and counter-tension techniques.

Have a lovely weekend!
