Exploring London

During our Geography topic this week, we started ecploring the famous landmarks of London. We saw real-time videos of their location after finding them on Google Earth. It was really intresting finding out different facts about them! We then matched pictures of the landmarks with the facts we had learned.
The book that we have looked at in English this half-term so far is Katie in London by James Mayhew which linnks with our georgaphy topic. This week, we described the lion and last week we even wrote a newspaper article about the lion roaming around London!
This week we read Jack and the Incredibly Meanstalk. It's a bit like the traditional tale but much funnier. We looked at the seeds for French and runner beans and we planted some of each. We made some predictions about how the will grow and now we have to look after them and see what happens!
