And breathe ...

In maths, we have started to explore multiplication. We have been using arrays to spot patterns and have begun grouping objects in various different ways. We have even started learning our 2, 5 and 10 times tables by shimmying, sliding and shaking!

As our wild area is full of dandelions in bloom, we read Christopher Nibbles by Charlotte Middleton this week. It's about a guinea pig who cares for the very last dandelion to make sure that its seeds blow on the breeze to spread and grow new plants. We had a great time creating a guinea pig cafe and planted spinach, lettuce and rocket so we can grow our own guinea pig food.

Our PE session with the sports coach this half term is yoga. We have found this very relaxing! We have been practicing lots of different yoga poses like the mountain, downward dog and even started each session with a sun salutation. It is good practice for our balancing skills!

In Science this week, we checked on the progress of our beans and then discussed whether our beans were wild plants or not.  We enjoyed a wild plant (weed) hunt in the school grounds and concluded using our tally charts, that dandelions were the most common weed in school!

Have a marvellous weekend and hope the weather stays nice and sunny!
