Good morning class 4!

I hope you all managed to enjoy a little bit of the sunshine yesterday.

Thank you for posting comments and sending emails - they really do brighten up our day.

Your suggested activities for today are as follows:

Active time -

Get yourselves up and moving. I'm really enjoying the Joe Wicks PE lessons at 9am but there are lots more options to try. I've posted some links below:

If you fancy doing something a little different, you could always plan your own routine instead. Remember the warm ups you created in PE? Your ideas were great!

English -

I hope your little paper boat stories are coming on nicely. Don't forget to plan, write and edit your own work just as we do in class.

Well done Jessica for emailing me your work - you have made a wonderful start!

Below is a Litz Blitz for you to have a go at. I'll post the answers tomorrow:

1)   A or an?    _____  exciting party.

2)   Which verb?    We (will be/ have been/ are) waiting for you since 5 o'clock.

3)   Why is the apostrophe used?   I really don't like chips.

4)   Which prefix goes with these words?       national          view

5)   Add the punctuation:      I can see you called Lisa

6)   Rewrite these words as a contraction:       we would

7)   Add the apostrophe :    It was Bobs fault that the windows were smashed.

8)   The plural of hoof?

Maths -

I have assigned you some work on Mathletics all about grams, kilograms and converting between the two.

James, Eva and Sarah did some wonderful work yesterday estimating the weight of objects - thank you for sharing it with us.

Art -

This painting is called The Great Wave by Hokusai.

Sea picture: The Great Wave

Study the painting (you may need to search on the internet for a larger version). What can you see? Are there any clues to tell you more about the artist? Is it old or modern?

Could you create your own artwork inspired by this picture? Your picture could be pencil drawn, coloured, painted or even a collage.

You know we like to see how creative you can be! Don't forget to send pictures of your finished work.

Have a lovely day.

Mrs Kendal, Miss Watkins, Miss Kewley and Mrs Scott.
