Good morning Y6, Miss H here...

You have made it through the first week!

I have really enjoyed looking through your pictures of the activities you have been doing and seeing you all having such fun learning at home, so please keep sending them through.

On to today:

Reading: the usual 30 minutes, at least, please. You are going to be writing a book review shortly, so keep it up.

Science: We are going to be starting a new topic, Living things and their habitats. Read through the information on the PowerPoint. Imagine that a new zoo is going to open in your local area. You have been asked to sort and group the animals that will live in the zoo, so that similar species can be housed in enclosures near one another. You will act as a taxonomist, so it is up to you to decide how to classify the animals and give reasons for your classification. Your list of Zoo Animals can be found here and use a classification system like the example below to sort and group the animals.

Computing: On PurpleMash, create a blog recording a daily diary about what you are doing at home for your friends to comment on.

PE: Hopefully you are all doing the Joe Wick at 9am. I'd also like you to practise your long barriers, short barriers and bowling techniques. Can you teach someone at home?

Art: Go outside in your garden and create a landscape drawing, in the style of the Chinese artwork we have been looking at.

Caitie's dad had this idea, could be an interesting project to make …

Also, make sure you allow time to relax and enjoy the world around us! Myself and my Grandma have enjoyed watching all of the plants and trees start to appear and have taken time to appreciate their beauty. We don’t always get chance to do that and feel very thankful for the time to appreciate this!

Have a lovely day and make sure to keep sending your emails.

Stay safe everyone!

Miss H :)

Friday - early!

admin on: Class 6

Good Morning all!

Before I hand you over to Miss H for the day, I just wanted to congratulate you all as we reach the end of this first week. I think we can all agree we've been lucky with the weather and that has helped us. No matter what though, we need to carry on with what I have seen so far: hard work, exercise, gardening, baking, walking, reading - a good combination of all of these is just the ingredient that we all need.

Embrace your families and keep smiling. I'll put a couple more pics on here before I head on to school for the day.

One final thing: it appears that some of you struggle to see ALL the blogs, as some people's pages stop after 8 posts. To get around that, we will PIN the day's instructions to the top of the page. Then, we will begin to combine your photos and posts into one, or two messages each day. So, apologies if ALL your photos don't get used - please keep sending them to us; we love to see them and you enjoying yourselves.

I miss you all - see you soon, hopefully.

Mr C

Reuben's Thursday

There seems to be another busy day with team green, at the Cooper's household. Loads of fresh air to mix with the hard work.

Well done!
