Good afternoon everyone!
We hope you all had a fabulous Easter holiday and made the most of the gorgeous sunny weather. I can't believe it's now only week 2 and we've a Bank Holiday to enjoy again too! Do make the most of the extension to the weekend!
We have had a brilliant start to the Summer term. The children are absolutely loving our new Ancient Egyptians topic. I collected a great big box of wonderful Ancient Egyptian artefacts from the Tolson Museum earlier this week; the children had great fun yesterday examining each one and learning all about them and what they were used for. The enthusiasm has been so lovely to see. Do enjoy the photos below, showing just some of the artefacts we shared.
On Monday, the children enjoyed a super cricket training session led by a coach from Yorkshire Cricket; each of the classes in Key Stage 2 had over a full hour's session, developing their skills in batting and fielding through fun, but competitive games. Again, I have added a couple of photos taken during our year 4 session.
