Cliffe House

Now we are all back from Cliffe House, I just wanted to take the opportunity to say how fantastic all the children were. They were a credit to our school, they behaved well and they were some of the best sleepers I've ever taken on a residential! The progress the children made in teamwork and communication skills really shone through and they developed their geography skills through our river walk. Mrs Lindley, Miss Littler, Mrs Sykes and I were all very impressed with them.
I have done a residential nearly every year of my career and I cannot say enough how fantastic they are for children. It brings out the best in them and allows them to shine at things they haven't necessarily tried before. I hope you can see a difference in your child and understand why I am so passionate about learning outside the classroom!

Lyela was so expecting to the Cliffe House residential. She packed up her case at least one week earlier than the depart day. On that Wednesday morning she awoke at 4:30am and too excited to sleep any more. During the two days in Cliffe house, She mentioned she enjoyed lots of delicious food, learned to make bread and archery and had many other new experiences with her classmates. She said the most difficult and interesting part was they had to walk for two hours along the river to observe its geography. Her favourite thing was playing in the adventure playground and she hoped she could go there again! Thanks a lot for all the teachers support! A huge thank you to Mr Kershaw for organising such a great residential trip. We really appreciate the updates and the photos! The children have great memories to take away with them. |
