Important information for next week... and some shout outs!
Posted: Apr 24, 2020 by: Liam Kershaw (LKershaw) on: Class 5
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who has been emailing me or commenting on the blog over the last week. It's so nice to hear from you and see what you are getting up to. Just to let you know that it is really important that we hear from you or your family at least once a week. This is so that we can check you and your family are safe and happy.
So with that in mind, I would like to have an email or blog comment from you or your adult at least once a week. From Monday 27th April, the weekly procedure will be that if we don't hear from you by the Thursday, we will be giving you a ring or an email to check that you are okay. This is purely designed to see that you are happy, engaged in the work and gives me, your teacher, the opportunity to keep in contact with you or your family.
As a school, I hope you understand that we are trying to keep in contact with pupils and parents so that we all still feel part of the Netherthong community. If there is anything that we can do to support you and your family in any other way please let me know and we will endeavour to put something in place.
A reminder that my email is class5@netherthongprimary.co.uk
Here are the answers to the mental maths:
Speed Tables Shout Outs!
Mason completed it in 2 minutes and 29 seconds. Amazing! Nearly beat me (I got 2 minutes 23 seconds).
Libby F smashed it in 2 minutes and 55 seconds. Awesome!
Isla zoomed through it in 4 minutes and 36 seconds. Brilliant!
Alex finished it in 2 minutes and 40 seconds. Super speedy!
James did it in 3 minutes and 29 seconds. Fabulous work!
Toby completed it in 3 minutes and 31 seconds. Nice work!
Alex and his sister made smores yesterday evening. Yum!
Alfie has been busy making a constitution and flag for his country, as well as creating a fort to protect his country!
Izzy has had lots of great ideas for her country, as you can see here!
Madison has been busy with her work on her country, as well as the PSHE from this afternoon. Nice job!
Owen has been busy. He has reviewed the book, like he said he would! He has made a coat of arms for his country, and he has still found time to bake as well! I've spotted him out on his bike, getting his daily exercise. Nice work, Owen!
Toby has been busy persuading people to visit his country. I like that his country has a whale shark in the sea at the bottom of his garden!
I have been lucky enough to work with Mrs Greenwell in school this week and she has sent this message:
I have loved seeing all your amazing pictures and work on the blog. I am missing all of you!
Have a lovely weekend! You guys are fab, and I miss you all! We have a little treat coming for you next week, keep your eyes open for it!
Mr. K
