Welcome back to class 3. We have all come back into school with the most amazing attitudes to work. Here is my stuck record - I am so proud of you all!
We have been working on addition and subtraction in Maths and you have really challenged yourselves to have a go. We looked at exchange in subtraction which was a little tricky! But, you all supported each other and were great mathematicians.
In Literacy, we have been reading as a whole class. You used funny voices, echo reading, paired reading and reading aloud to the whole class. That is amazing!
Our writing has also been super. I challenged you today to use beautiful handwriting, and for some of you to use joined up! WOW! You all were a little worried, but totally rose to the challenge and every single person in class used the best handwriting that I have seen this year! Let's hope that it continues going forward.
We also finished our wonderful class book Pippi Longstocking. There are a number of other super books by Astrid Lindgren that you might like, including a few more adventures with Pippi.
We have begun our new topics in Science (Forces and Magnets - Poles Apart) and Geography, which is all about Natural Disasters. We learnt about Cop 28, which will take place at the end of the month.
We have also learnt a little more about Remembrance Day (Armistice Day). The children were very respectful in our minutes silences and the work in class.
Have an amazing weekend.
Miss Watkins and Team
