Week ending 14th January 2022

Posted: Jan 14, 2022 by: Zoe Watkins (ZWatkins) on: Class 3

Hi everyone

What a week we have had.  Some of you have been at home, some at school, Mrs Kendal and Miss Watkins in on odd days, poor Mrs Scott not in.  Fingers crossed that next week we will be back to some sort of normal.

Despite our higgledy-piggledy week, we have been really busy.

We have been looking at fractions still.  We have been learning about equivalent fractions and learning how to order them.  We will keep having a go at this through the year.

We have had a lovely project in English this week learning all about birds.  We have written some lovely fact files and found out some wonderful facts about birds.  Did you know that a tawny owl says "kee-wick"?  Or that nightjars are sometimes called goatsuckers!  Did you know that robins egg is pale blue or that a barn owl is about the size of a cat.  You found out so many facts.  Well done class 3.

We have also become an orchestra.  You followed your conductor brilliantly when we were playing the glockenspiels.

Have a great weekend, keep safe and keep smiling.

Well done everyone

PS:  Don't forget to get on Teams and have a look at your homework.
