Week ending Friday 12th November 2021

Posted: Nov 12, 2021 by: Sarah Kendal (SKendal) on: Class 3

We took our RE lesson outdoors on Monday. We spent time thinking about what the word 'spiritual' meant and then used natural materials to portray our thoughts.

We are so lucky to have such wonderful outdoor space and our class love spending time exploring.

In Maths, we have been working on fractions. We now know that fractions are equal parts of a whole. Using strips of coloured paper, we made fraction walls and have worked out fractions of a whole using Lego.

In English, we are continuing to read The Iron Man. We have written letters from Hogarth, the little boy in the story, explaining what he has witnessed.

Our PE lesson was all about balance. We challenged ourselves to balance on 2, 3 and 4 points and worked in pairs to create a sequence.

The children have amazed us with their hard work this week in school and also at home!  The homework you and your children have produced has been amazing.  Some of the children have created new members of the class!

You have also been wonderfully creative in art, looking at Abstract art and having a go at creating you own images in a similar style to Miro and Kandinsky.  Beautiful work.

Keep up the hard work next week everyone!
