Welcome Back!

Welcome back, everyone! It has been fantastic to see the familiar faces of Class 5 returning as Class 6! They all looked so grown up in their hoodies on Tuesday when we gave them out.
This week, we have jumped straight into the curriculum. We have looked at place value in maths, how light travels in science and taken part in some drama in English. Also, today, we have looked at the many different wars that England and the UK have been involved in since 1066. We have created 16 posters that will be going up as reference for our topic 'War Across the Ages' (photo to follow on next week!).
Finally, I would like to say how proud I am of the children this week. They have all come back with a mature attitude and they have relished the new role they have as responsible Year 6 children. Lots of them have taken part in lunch time and breaktime jobs as prefects. I couldn't be happier with the first week back!
