Week ending 6th May 2022

Posted: May 6, 2022 by: Sarah Kendal (SKendal) on: Class 5

It may have only been a short week, but we have managed to cram lots in!

In English, we have been using our knowledge from Geography to write about renewable energy. Lots of great writing and the children then presented their work to the rest of the class.

In Maths, we have been reviewing fractions, decimals and percentages and using our knowledge to answer word problems.

The children were all amazing during our second yoga lesson. Everyone tried really hard and managed to get themselves in (and out thankfully) of some interesting positions!

The chocolate bar presentations have continued this week. The standard remains very high and judging the winners is going to be a very difficult task! Well done everyone; you are all superstars.

Another team of archaeologists got to work today, digging up their buried treasure to see what changes had happened over time.

We had lots more fun in Science today. We thought about lots of different ways to separate mixtures (there were some very inventive ideas). In the end, we settled on sieves, magnets, filter paper, funnels and fingers!

Well done for another super week Class 5!
