Week ending 11th March 2022

Posted: Mar 11, 2022 by: Sarah Kendal (SKendal) on: Class 5

Thank you class 5 for supporting Eden's Army this week. You all looked fabulous in pink and we raised lots of money for a wonderful cause.

In English, we have been offering our best advice to a character in our story, 'The Explorer'. We started with an 'advice alley' and the children walked down the middle whilst listening to lots of different opinions. The advice was then given in the form of letters.

In Maths, we have been translating 2D shapes (sliding them from one position to another and describing the movement).

We became archeologists in reverse in History! Looking at objects and deciding what would happen to them over time if they were buried. In groups, we then buried the objects outside and we won't be seeing them again for a few weeks!

Our 'Growing and Changing' topic continues in Science. Today we have been looking at all of the changes we go through when in the womb.

Class 5 are so lucky to have so many talented people coming in to deliver lessons. Our brass lessons are sounding great; the children really are making good progress. We had our second Tag Rugby lesson with our coach, Dan, today. Lots of fun had by all. I have some catching up to do with the Mandarin lessons but the children are all doing very well!

Well done everyone. Have a lovely weekend.

Love from The Year 5 team xx
