Week ending Friday 15th October

Posted: Oct 15, 2021 by: Martin Clayton (MClayton) on: Class 5

Another week flies by...

This week, we have grappled with long multiplication and begun division. This has taken a lot of patience and good presentation skills, but we have seen much progress!

In English, we've continued with the spelling skills of looking at adding suffixes and the rules around this. We've also been talking about simple, compound and complex sentences and working with co-ordinating conjunctions. We completed our comprehension work on the solar system and are looking forward to the 'Black Death'!

In writing, we have drafted out letters to Tim Peake, which we will write up next week and mail out, in the hope that he will love our work and launch into replies (sorry!).

We've also been dancing, swimming and musical. In particular, our musical talents have been preparing a song for Harvest Festival, which has brought smiles to all our faces.

We also found time to work with our buddies - reading with them and also (taking advantage of the last of the sun) measuring shadows.

This is all part of a science experiment, that we will (weather-permitting) continue next week. It's all go in here.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mr C, Mrs J, Mrs M, Miss M and the team.
