Good morning my little rays of sunshine!
Updated guess who ...
Where has the sun gone!? We have been very busy quizzing lately with friends! I have taken on a quizmaster role and my sister, who is in a different household to us, has been score keeper. Rather her than me! Each household taking part comes up with 10 questions on a topic. We then take it in turns reading out our questions followed by the answers. For the last two quizzes, we have included a scavenger hunt! We have asked people to come up with team names and my mum, Grandma and I are called Here Come the Girls! I then take a picture of all of us together as a way to remember. Here is one from our quiz with friends on Sunday…
Maybe you could organise a quiz by making up some questions on a topic?
Here is the suggested timetable for today:
E.R.I.C. - Everybody Reading in Class for 20 mins (remember to record your reading in your planners)
Active time - Joe Wicks guided PE lesson at 9am

How did you get on with your description yesterday of under the sea? The work that I was sent yesterday blew my socks off! Today, we are going to be writing an acrostic poem for a sea creature. An acrostic poem uses the letters in a topic word to begin each line. All the lines of the poem should relate to or describe the topic word. Here is a plan for how to begin your poem:
- First, think of a theme, e.g. sharks.
- Next, collect lots of ideas about that theme.
- Then, write the letters of your theme word vertically down the page in capital letters.
- Finally, use your ideas to write each line of the poem. Don’t worry if you can’t think of the lines in order. It is fine to go back and add any missing lines afterwards as long as your poem makes sense.
Off you go! Here is a poem I created about a dolphin as if I were one:
Dancing on the waves
Over the water I jump
Long strides swimming
Perfectly gliding
Happy and playful
I laugh all day
Never-ending adventures
Maybe you could decorate around your poem with pictures relating to the theme?
Music;
How did you get on with your graphic scores last week? This week, I would like you to use your graphic scores to perform your composition. Make sure you allow yourself some rehearsal time before you perform your piece of music! Why not give a performance to the people in your house? Let me know how you get on …
PE;
You have all been doing so well with all of the lessons, here is something a little different for you today! I would like you to create some activities for me to do at home. Use everything that we have learned so far. This includes dance, gymnastics, netball, cricket, games, orienteering and anything else that you have been up to! I promise that I will do each activity that is given to me across the week and send evidence of me taking part! Have fun and good luck (I don’t know if the good luck is for you or me?!) …
Have a lovely day! Please do send me emails with you and your work! It is so lovely to see all of you and hear how you are getting on! Remember to keep adding to our Padlet:
