Lots to celebrate this week! We were KS1 Mathletics champions again in assembly today - that's 4 weeks in a row. Well done to everyone for getting on with their homework, it really does make a difference. We started to write up our Katie Morag stories in literacy this week - the children have had some amazing ideas. In maths we've focussed on adding two 2-digit numbers by partitioning. So 34 + 23 = 30 + 20 = 50 and 4 + 3 = 7, so the answer is 57. We've looked at doubling in the same way. Homework in books and Mathletics is about adding. I hope you'll enjoy making and playing the memory game - games like this are vital for training the brain and can be adapted to any subject. Please take a photo of you playing the game for homework books.
