Homework Friday 4th October

Posted: Oct 3, 2019 by: Emma Barker (EBarker) on: Class 2

Welcome to the blog!

It feels very autumnal now and the children have finished some beautiful autumn pictures, which have gone on display. Shackleton's journey is coming to an end, but this week we wrote a diary entry in his words. I was so amazed at the beautiful sentences the children were using. We learned about the conjunctions 'and, 'but' and 'or', so the children were really trying to use those in their writing. In maths we've been weighing and measuring as well as looking at capacity - I'm pleased to report that we had no spillages! This week's mathletics is all about measuring again and homework books include an activity on nouns. Keep up the great work with regular reading - I love reading your comments in the reading diaries.

Could I ask children to bring in a cereal box, this is for an art project coming up in the next few weeks. If you can bring in more than one, then that would be fantastic.

Thank you

Mrs B
