What a busy week!

19th November 2021

What a busy week we have had! It has been Road Safety Week, Anti-bullying Week and Children in Need on top of all of the normal school learning!

In maths, we started looking at 2D shapes and their properties. On Wednesday with Mrs McLoughlin, we went on a 2D shape hunt around the school grounds spotting the shapes, naming them and recalling their properties. We found that shapes are everywhere ...

During our forest session this week, we read You and Me Little Bear and talked about all the jobs and games they played in the forest. We built our own caves and even some furniture to go inside! Lots of impromptu chat about seasonal changes and looked closely at leaves and the veins that carry nutrients. Hide and seek to finish just like Big and Little Bear!

Today we celebrated Children in Need along with the rest of the school! In class, we took some time to practice mindfullness with Dr Ranj. We listened to the techniques that he told us to us including mindful, listening, mindful listening and mindful breathing. We all felt very calm and relaxed after this!

As you may have seen in the newsletter, we will be running a range of fun activities for the children during the week of the 15th November for Children in Need. If you are in a position to donate, we are asking this to be done online via this link. Please don't bring any money into school. Thank you!
