Dancing through the week

Posted: Oct 8, 2021 by: Mrs Parker (NHemingway) on: Class 1

8th October 2021

During maths sessions, we have been learning what a number line is and how we can use them to help us with lots of different maths areas. We even made a human number line and counted the jumps Miss Hemingway did along the number line.

In our dance sessions for the past two weeks, we have been creating our own dance to represent the different seasons. We learnt new vocabulary like unison and cannon to make our routines even more special! We used gliding movements across the floor like an ice skater for winter, became falling leaves for autumn, represented rain fall for spring and made shapes like the ocean for summer. We then practiced these in groups and performed them for the rest of the class, thinking of one star and a wish for each performance!

During computing, we have been learning how to save our work on PurpleMash. We continued to develop our fine motor skills by using the track pad to colour in different pictures!

Have a lovely weekend and hope the weather stays warm and sunny!
