25.6.21 Week in Review

Posted: Jun 25, 2021 by: Greg Hobson (GHobson) on: Class 1

Good afternoon everyone,

We have had a lovely week here in class!

It has been a busy one! This picture below, is of Zahra, the main character from a short video clip we have watched. We have used the clip to inspire us and the class have been learning about nouns and adjectives and trying to use the two together to make their writing entertaining and exciting! We have also had a go at using commas to make a list of objects we would take into the desert to help live in Zahra's rural village.

Maths this week, has focussed around telling the time. The class have used mini clocks to make o'clock and half past times and we have been more aware of the timings of a school such as lunch time being at 12 o'clock and break time finishing at half past 10.

We had lots of fun learning about where fish comes from and facts about different types. The children loved making small paper fish too!

In PE, we have loved doing orienteering and following maps to find certain points! We even used special dibbers to check in at different points around the school grounds!

Have a good weekend all, and see you next week!

Thanks again,

Mr. H.
