Use the link above to view the Set 3 video published at 9.30 each day. Join in with the phonics learning and then at the end see how many words you can write down containing the ‘i-e’ sound!

You don't have to print out the sheet, you could make blank clock faces in your remote learning books.

Play the clip but for the first time only listen to the sound, don't watch it.
Ask your children where they think it is set now?
Does the music remind them of anything?
A type of weather or animals?
Watch the clip with pictures now up to 12 seconds.
Were their predictions correct?
What have they learnt so far about the story?
Tell the children they will be writing statements today.
Before playing the rest of the clip tell the children they need to be thinking about the plot of the story.
What happens at the beginning? What is the problem, solution, ending?
Task: Children to write statements sentences to match pauseed images from the video clip. Can they use conjunctions to join ideas?
