Here is today’s list of suggested activities:

Use the link above to view the Set 3 video published at 9.30 each day. Join in with the phonics learning and then at the end see how many words you can write down containing the ‘ai’ sound!

Alphabet challenge – Can you get every single letter in the alphabet the correct way around?

Have another listen to the book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fB6fTm3XGSk and stop at the point where kelp is wondering about going back to the Narwhals.

Ask the your children how Kelp could get in touch with the Narwhals?

What could he do?

Talk about the process of posting a letter.

Could you write an address for Kelp to write to and an address for Kelp to use as his home address?

I think he might live on Coral Avenue in Turtle City.

To partition numbers.

Using hoops, string or tape to make an aliens head alien arm model. (The children will know what to make!) Use some toys or things from around the house to signify tens as stick shaped objects and ones as brick / cube shaped objects.

Try making 3 numbers with tens in one hand/hoop and ones in another hand/hoop. Can your child tell what number should go in the head of of the model?

Can you make these numbers using sticks and bricks? Remember that a stick is ten and brick is one.
