Could you make speech bubbles to go with beach page of the story Not Quite Narwhal?

You can pause the video on the page and think about what the narwhals, unicorns and Kelp may say to each other.

To describe positions

Head outside if you can and and talk about the language of left and right. Have some form of markers set out and say left or right and see if your children can remember which way is which and run to the left marker and right marker.

Recreate this shape picture and see if you can follow the instructions to get the correct colour on the correct shape.

Have a chat about this picture:

- Lunch -

- Art -

Narwhal inspired sea wash using watercolour paints if you have some.

Using blues greens and other colours, can the children create a wash that looks a little like the sea on the cover of Not Quite Narwhal?

Leave to dry.

On scraps of plain paper, can you try to draw your own Kelp and colour it in?

Go over the edges and key lines of kelp with a black fine felt tip and when the wash is dry stick it onto the sea.

Thanks everyone - enjoy!

Cheers

Mr. H.
