Morning all and welcome back!

I hope you have all had a restful and relaxed half-term and had chance to enjoy some of the warm, sunny weather we have had.

Research suggests that this spring has been the sunniest since records began back in 1929 and that we had the driest May for 124 years!

For all of you keen followers of Luna and Brego, they are both fine! Brego has been enjoying the sunshine a little more than Luna. She finds it hot during the summer months.

Here are a few photos of them out in the garden and around and about over half-term!

Here is today’s list of suggested activities:

- GoNoodle -

- Phonics -

Spelling shed is fixed!

This week I would like you to practice the ‘are’ and ‘ear’ sounds.

The ‘are’ sounds look like the word are but makes the ‘are’ sound from the care and share card.

Have a go at writing these words down using your fred fingers:

care
share
bare
dare
hare
rare

And I would like you to have a go at reading these words aloud!

Click here to view the words and press space bar or directional arrows to stop the words.

- Maths -

Warm – Up

Can you write down as many numbers as you can starting at 0 and working up to 100 in 3 minutes?

(Remember to get them the right way around!)

Fractions

Click here to watch - Give me half!

Chat about what half of an object is, for example a pizza, cookie, apple, chocolate bar, strawberry, circle, square.

Click here to view a presentation all about finding half of objects and shapes. Some of you may have already split these objects and shapes before half term but there is a little extra the bottom to chat about and think about. Don’t go past the stop sign. Explain that for it to be a half, both parts need to the same and equal.

- Break -

- English -

Synonym Starter:

How many different words can you think of for the word good?

If you have any room left in your remote learning books, (if not a piece of paper will do) can you draw 4 things that you enjoyed doing over your half-term?

- Lunch -

Have an afternoon enjoying the sunshine!

Cheers and stay safe!

Mr. H.
