Morning all,

I hope you have all had a nice bank holiday weekend!

Here is today's list of suggested activities:

- GoNoodle -

- Phonics -

Today, I would like you to practice the 'a-e' sound again used in the words make and bake.

Can your children write down these words after you read them?

Ask them to use their 'Fred fingers' to sound out. E.g: snake sounded out would be s - n - a - k (ending with a secret e that makes the a into an ay sound) !

So five sounds in total.

Try these words:
make
shake
cake
name
same
game
brave

- English -

Synonym Starter: How many words can you come up with that mean small?

A day in the life!

Today, I would like you to talk about time and what actions people might do at certain times.

Make a simple table in your remote learning books and write different times down the left of the table and write an action that your portmanteau animal might do at that time.

Here is an example from last year to give you an idea.

- Break -

- Maths -

It's Mojo Maths time!

Click here to view Mojo Maths!

Discuss the first few questions together and then have a go at the questions at the end using what you know and have learned so far!

Set your work out neatly in your remote learning books!

- Lunch -

- Science -

Trees!

Please have a look through the presentation below all about trees!

If you have a walk out and about today for your daily permitted exercise, have a good look at what leaves are on the trees. Take some scrap paper and sketch the leaf shapes and bring that home to see what trees you have spotted using this tree identifier!

Thanks for all your ongoing support!

Cheers and stay safe!

Mr. H.
