Morning all,

I hope everyone is well and I just want to say thank you to all those people who have got in touch!

Here is today's list of suggested activities:

- GoNoodle -

- Phonics -

In phonics today, we are going to be focusing on the 'dge' sound! Our card in school is Smudge likes fudge!

Could you have a go at reading these words and then writing them down using your 'Fred fingers'?

edge
badge
wedge
bridge
smudge
hedge

- English -

Well done for having a go at the work about the wolf and sheep last week!

The reason I asked you to think about what they have in common and what their differences are is because we are going to begin looking at this book:

The title of this book is Woolf and the author is Alex Latimer!

Today, in your remote learning books, I would like you to write me a short paragraph telling what you think is going to happen in this book or what it is about.

Remember that word predictions? That is what you are going to do, predict what you think is going to happen in the story!

Remember your BIG 3, adjectives, conjunctions and maybe some exclamation marks!

Good luck!

- Break -

- Maths -

Last week you did some brilliant work on multiplication using groups to help you!

Today I would like you to have a go at the work below. Try to make equal groups and say how many groups you have made! After that, try to write a number sentence like 5 x 2 = 10.

You don't need to print this page out as the children can draw the spots in their remote learning books.

- Lunch -

- Science -

As we are looking at plants in science, it would be a great opportunity to plant some seeds at home if possible and track their progress just to see what happens. This could be out in the garden or in a yogurt pot or something similar on a warm sunny window sill.

Also, I would like you to draw me a scientific diagram of a flower today! There are four main parts to a flowering plant. These are the roots, stem, leaves and flower. Could you draw a flower and label it with these terms? If you know any other words that you could add to the picture, be my guest!

Click here to have a sneaky peek at one that has already been done!

Cheers and stay safe!

Mr. H.
