Hi all,

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and are healthy and well!

Here is today's list of suggested activities to have a go at:

- GoNoodle -

- Phonics - 'a-e' sound. Used in the words make and bake.
Can your children write down these words after you read them?
Ask them to use their 'Fred fingers' to sound out. E.g: snake sounded out would be s - n - a - k (ending with a secret e that makes the a into an ay sound) !
So five sounds in total.

Try these words:
make
shake
cake
name
same
game
brave

- Maths - Making equal groups

Using concrete apparatus, such as lego, bricks, building blocks or whatever you have around, model putting objects out into equal groups.
E.g. cubes in cups, bricks in piles.

Then model how to draw this. Goldfish in bowls is one example.

Use the language of there are 4 groups of 2. Allow your child to make equal groups. Equal means that each group needs to be the same!

The task is to draw objects in equal groups in your remote learning books. Try drawing different amounts of groups and different amounts in each group.

- Break

- English - The Sky Ladder

Question time!

Where does the ladder lead to?

Where has the ladder come from?

Does it lead up to the sky or down from the sky?

Who might come down the ladder?

These sentences are ‘sick’ and need help to get better. Can you help?

Write a new and improved version of these sentences in your books!

The ladder was big.

Tim started to climb the ladder.

- Lunch -

Science

Create your own weather station. Draw the weather, record the temperature and record the amount of rainfall at the end of each day.

- Break -

- Music -  Log onto purple mash again and access the 2dos tab at the top. Press on the task 2sequence and let the children explore creating sound sequences with the sound on! See if they have improved from last week!

Here is the challenge from Miss H for today! Remember to email us your creations! If you don't have Lego, don't worry any construction material will do ...

Thanks for reading, comment below and share your experiences.

Cheers and stay safe!

Mr. H.

Thanks, really like the sky ladder, pinching it for my class! We can't take part in the Lego challenges as don't have enough Lego - Ava's never been into it!
