Morning all!

Thank you for all the feedback through the comments section and by email. It really is great to see the hard work you are putting in!

Here is today's list of suggested activities:

- GoNoodle

- Phonics -

Continue work on the 'ure' sound. Can your children sound out and write down these words?

mixture
future
manure
injure
fracture

Can they also fix this silly sentence?

ben went to the park he playd on the swigs

There are 2 capital letters missing, 2 fulls stops missing and 2 spelling that are incorrect.

- Maths -

Warm up: Sticks and bricks.

Can you make numbers using sticks and bricks? A stick equals ten and a brick equals one.



Main: Subtraction using a number line or 100 square.
Answer the questions below, remember that if the number sentence contains a minus/subtract/takeaway sign we count back on our number line or square.

Using your picture from yesterday, could you write a setting paragraph about your imaginary place at the top of the beanstalk? 

Remember to include:

A title - this can be the name of the place you have made up.

Good punctuation such as capitals, finger spaces, full stops, exclamation marks and question marks.

Exciting adjectives to describe what it is like.

Conjunctions to make your sentences joined up. Try because, but, and!

Write about what you can see, hear, smell, touch and feel!

Go for it young authors!

We have been studying structures in class one and now are ready to start building our own.

Could you use your toys at home to build a castle?

Please try to make it strong and tough. Remember to include some of the features we looked at in school. Things like turrets, drawbridges, towers, parapets, dungeons, etc.

At this time on a Thursday, the children get a bit of free choice to play with what they like.
