Here are today's activities...

Problem; What shape am I? I have 4 angles. I have 2 pairs of parallel sides but 2 are larger than the other 2!

Activity:

You will need either some squared paper if you have some or use a ruler to make a squared piece of paper and aim for each square being 1cm by 1cm (no pressure at all!!!)- perhaps Mum or Dad could do this for you! Use a ruler and pencil and draw these shapes as neatly as you can (treat each square as being 1cm)?

  1. A square with sides of 2cm.
  2. A triangle with 2 sides of 3cm.
  3. A rectangle with 1 side 6cm and 1 side 5cm.
  4. A rectangle with 1 side of 4cm and 1 side of 2cm.
  5. A triangle with a right angle.
  6. A triangle with no sides of equal length!
  7. A hexagon with one pair of parallel sides.
  8. A square with sides of 3cm 5mm

You could colour them in or give them patterns when you have labelled the measurements on each side.

Have a great day and have fun!

See you all very soon,

Mrs Matthews
