Here's a lovely photo of Jack, showing off his super maths work.

Max's great Mousehole storm.

Here's Mia's  super Geography work; comparing Holmfirth with Mousehole.

Here's Alfie enjoying a well-earned home made pizza after completing his geography too! Yum!!

Here's Arjeta's happy safe place; she's called it 'Sing Hotel'! It sounds great!

Here is Laurie's Mousehole storm art; looks great Laurie! Have a look at his super descriptive phrases too!

Here are today's activities for you all.....

P.E.

The choice is yours;

Maths:

I've set 2 'Mathletics' tasks for you; they are in the 'statistics' section and are both involving interpreting graphs and charts. Have fun but remember to look carefully!

Literacy:

  1. Grammar; Please could you complete the 'consonant/vowel' activity in the 'Early Birds' section; I have set a 2Do for you.
  2. Have another look at 'Mousehole Cat' with Mum or Dad; you could look at the text again or watch the videos on the internet together. Please can you create a story map of the story. We have done these many times before; remember, you think carefully about the main parts of the story and create drawings of those important parts and draw arrows to direct the reader through the main parts. Numbering the drawings helps too. You could also add little captions to tell me what is happening at each stage.

Here's the book;

Here's part 1 and 2 of the video;

Unfortunately, part 3 isn't free on the internet so I've not been able to add that for you; hence the pdf of the book is above for you to refer to!! So sorry!!

Reading;

Please can you continue reading either 'Anna's Sports Day' or 'Sleeping Volcano' on Purple Mash. I have set a 2Do for the next chapter and also the questions.

Science:

Today I'd like you to create a health education poster to advise people how to keep their eyes and bodies safe in the sun (that's hoping the weather gets hot and sunny again!!) Make it as colourful and eye-catching as you can.

Here is a powerpoint you might like to look at first.

KEEPING SAFE IN THE SUN.ppt

That's everything for today; I hope you enjoy the activities!

Have a brilliant weekend and I'll be back in touch bright and early Monday morning!!

See you soon,

Mrs Matthews
